Several days ago, my landline phone developed a buzz, and would not dial out. I bought a new phone, and could dial out, but still had a buzz. My DSL was not affected.
I placed an internet service request. The CenturyLink technician showed up today, did some testing, and reported back. He said I had a Bridge Tap, and that my DSL should also be better.
The buzz is gone, and the CenturyLink Speed Test just showed 6.13 Mbps download, 0.55 Mbps upload, and 12 ms latency. I am paying for 6 Mbps, and never reached 4 Mbps before.
