I'm in a newer area in Flagstaff with FTTP and the 100/50 package right now, and CL is the ONLY internet option (outside of satellite) in my neighborhood. When the installer came about two weeks ago to set me up as they were finishing building my new house, he mentioned that Gig was already set up in the neighborhood, it just wasn't turned on. At his recommendiation, I added myself to the notification list for Gigabit and got said notification yesterday morning, that Gigabit was available in my area. I got a second email stating it was available to me this morning.
I have tried to add it to my account myself and I have tried Chat twice, but it won't let me or the people on the Chat service. I'm new to CL and DSL(Fiber in my case). I've been a cable internet user for years (and I probably know more about the cable network and systems that support it than most of the cable company engineers, as this was something I studied in great detail for several papers in college and had extensive experience with after that).
My question here is, what if anything can I do to try to get this turned on. One of the chat folks even said the system showed that Gigabit is available at my address, but they couldn't turn it on. Should I try calling and just keep escalating until I get someone who can give me an answer?
