Stumped and can not really find documentation beyond pictures.
I have put a destination addr(xxx.yyy.zzz.000) on my LAN to which
I want to forward SSH and TELNET (22 and 23)
I asked for 22-23
This is the result that I get back from Admin.
I assume Remote Defined is for a specific IP that I want to authorize.
I want it open so I have NO entry
Result from the Admin Process
Port Forwarding List
LAN IP Protocol Ports Forwarded Remote Defined EDIT
192.168.0.253 TCP 22 - 23 No Remove
I ran nmap on_my_static_ip_address
PORT STATE SERVICE
23/tcp open telnet
53/tcp open domain
80/tcp open http
443/tcp open https
4567/tcp open tram
5431/tcp open park-agent
8081/tcp open blackice-icecap
8082/tcp open blackice-alerts
8083/tcp open us-srv
8085/tcp open unknown
8086/tcp open d-s-n
8087/tcp open simplifymedia
23 was open before I attempted to configure Port Forwarding but 22 did not show up
I assume centurylink uses telnet for internal purposes. I was not able to use the "admin" login/password
or a login/password for a user on xxx.yyy.zzz.000
I stopped Firewalld and iptables before testing so there is no internal firewall block.
telnet xxx.yyy.zzz.000
Trying xxx.yyy.zzz.000...
Connected to xxx.yyy.zzz.000.
Escape character is '^]'.
BCM963268 Broadband Router
Login:
ssh xxx.yyy.zzz.000
ssh: connect to host xxx.yyy.zzz.000 port 22: Connection refused
I am able to ssh localhost so this leads me to believe I have not established
port forwarding on C2000T
So is there something I missed or don't understand about port forwarding.
I have done this in the past with other routers with no problem in the past.
Anyone get this to work for another application ?
