I am moving and atechnician told me that the modem I currently have, the C1000a, will not work at the new house. I chatted with CenturyLink directly and they of course just referred me to the list of approved devices, which lists the C1000a - I pressed them for an answer and they said it should work, but if it doesn't I will need to upgrade (the tech says I will need a C3000a). Is the info legit? Is there something with the hardware at the new location that would prevent the C1000a from working?
