[Prism TV] Prism Hallmark HD recording

My mom is having a problem specific to Hallmark channel HD (1175) recordings. Prism via fiber to house near Orlando if that matters. Customer support sent a replacement DVR (was Arris, now Pace) but that made no difference. Problem was easy to reproduce on new DVR. If you record a movie then try FF and/or RW during the movie, then stop the FF/RW using something like Play or Pause, it goes back to the same position where you started the FF or RW (expected behavior is to end up at the new position displayed when you stopped the FF/RW). Also if you see the "timeline bar" or whatever it is called down near the bottom, the numbers displayed do not seem to move around in the typical manner expected (they may keep displaying the same time as you try to advance or go back, while expected behavior is to display the relative time from start). This problem happens *only* on Hallmark channel HD recordings, not on other channel recordings (nor Hallmark channel SD same time/movie). In the old days I might have wondered if something like a bad timecode was being transmitted on that specific channel, but have no way to know whether that is the case in today's system (or whether it might cause the symptoms I describe). Mom has been trying to record/watch various Christmas movies on Hallmark HD. I wonder if anyone experiences similar problem (or not), and/or if this Hallmark HD issue occurs on any similar system (AT&T UVerse). Thanks for any info, which might help on interactions with customer service. Replacing DVR of course lost old recordings (and favorite channel settings), but nicely did keep the series/schedule. P.S. Mom says that Hallmark channel HD problem has more symptoms than just what I describe, seeming to say you can't watch entire length if you try to skip commercials. I was unwilling to try sitting through watching movie myself to understand/reproduce more than what I described above.
