After a lot of trial and error, the best/fastest configuration for me seems to be the Centurylink provided ZyXEL C2100Z with the wireless radios off and an Orbi mesh system in AP mode. The only issue I had was I couldn't get the port forwarding to work but eventually realized that it was the NAT loopback that was disabled. I could access my server just fine from anywhere except from within my network (excluding using its IP address directly of course).
Does anyone know how to enable NAT loopback on this modem? I can't find anything in the GUI and nothing I found online (using telnet or ssh) worked either. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
