[Qwest] C2100T transparent bridging woes

I just got GPON 100/50 installed today and am trying to get my C2100T to work in transparent bridging mode so I can use my Airport Extreme for PPPoE/DHCP/NAT as I had done previously with my DSL. I feel like there's something wrong with this box or the firmware in general, as settings don't seem to want to stick when I save them. It took me a while before I was able to get the transparent bridging mode to "stick" under WAN Settings, but now I can't get the Broadband Settings to stay — they keep defaulting back to what they were before. Settings so far are: Advanced Setup > WAN Settings: • ISP Protocol: Transparent Bridging • Transport Mode: Tagged-201 these are now set and stay set. But if I go to: Modem Status > WAN Status: • VLAN Type Selected: Auto Detect - Untagged • ONT IP Address: 0.0.0.0 etc I saw elsewhere I need to manually change Broadband Settings, too, so: Advanced Setup > Broadband Settings: • WAN Type: Auto Select (keeps defaulting back to this even if I manually select Ethernet) • WAN Type Selected: WAN Ethernet Port 5 (so, it's autodetecting fine) The problem seems to be here: • Transport Mode: Auto Select --> defaults back to this even though I choose Tagged, and VLAN ID: 201, and hit Apply • MTU: 1500 (I've tried 1492 also as I've seen that posted somewhere too, not sure which is correct for fiber, but either way it doesn't stick and reverts back to 1500) I hit Apply, and it seems to reboot the modem, and the settings revert. I think I had the same problem with getting transparent bridging to stick on the other page, and not sure how I got that to finally stick. So... frustrating. Once I get this to stick, it should work fine with the Airport Extreme, right? I saw an alternative solution where if you get a managed switch that lets you configure a port for VLAN 201, you can completely remove the C2100T altogether from the equation and I'd be able to use the Airport Extreme attached to that, correct? Thanks for any help in advance, this is super frustrating! **EDIT: Figured it out — I didn't know you also had to go into Broadband Settings to set VLAN 201 and MTU 1492. The additional problem was that I tried setting that probably 20 times and each time it'd reset itself back to auto and not set properly... finally got it to work by turning bridging back OFF and back to PPPoE, THEN changed the Broadband Settings and it stuck, THEN turned transparent bridging back on and it works! Leaving this up in case it helps someone else out, I literally lost a few hours trying to solve this.**
