Does a PPPoE "modem" without router functionality exist?

I'm going to be moving to a new place next month that offers CenturyLink gigabit service. Currently, I have service with Comcast, so this is going to be a bit of a change for me. I use pfSense for my firewall at home, and I'm not really looking to change that, nor am I looking to replace the hardware I have for it right now. However, there's an issue there. From doing some reading around, it looks like I'm going to run into https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/4821 which is eventually going to be fixed, but it's probably multiple years out. Meanwhile, because of that issue, my hardware's going to probably be capped at about 600mbps if I replace the CenturyLink hardware with it, as my downstream data will all be forced into one queue on one CPU core. So, I'm hoping to find a solution here that will allow my pfSense box to not be behind a NAT gateway and have a public IP address while not running into that issue. The only thing I can think of is if some sort of device exists that can do the PPPoE termination and VLAN tagging and then use DHCP to pass through the resulting connection info. Does something like that exist? Or, if not, is there another route I can go here without replacing my pfSense box?
