Since last Friday (June 7) until the "issue" was resolved sometime before noon today (without any CenturyLink service tech coming inside my house to "test" my computers/modem/routers/switches), we had to turn off and turn back on the 660 modem that we've been using since 2004(?) to regain sync. We would be able to access the Intrawebz for a few minutes and then would lose sync once again.
Yesterday afternoon I spent over 1/2 hour trying to convince a CenturyLink CSR to open a ticket. It seemed that all she wanted to do until she finally created a ticket was to follow the "script" in front of her. After I told her that there are no Windows nor MacOS computers in my house (all four computers run some flavor of Linux), there was a long pause.
The good news is the issue which was related to a "wet splice" in some buried line has been rectified. The bad news is, unfortunately, weekend CenturyLink CSR service is sadly subpar.
