Hello Everyone. I was just curious as to why when it storms or rains, why do I get so many CRC errors. I have a brand new NID, Brand new cat5e ran to the nid into the house, and to the phone jack and a new aerial drop that goes from my pole across the road and into the ground. When it does not rain I probably get 100-400 errors every 4-5 days. However almost every second when its pouring down they are constant. I just looked at my modem from last night and it had over 12,000+ near end crc errors, however the downstream SNR had no changes and no retrains. The CRC errors were the only ones I had. Are CRC errors that the modem already corrects? And does anything need to be done about it?
Any insight I'd Appreciate.
