I live in Central Texas, Copperas Cove. I am currently a Charter/Time Warner Customer. My family is going to be moving across town to a new neighborhood where I contacted Centurylink to see what speeds I can get at the new house. Their website says 25Mbps but I have been emailing the Supervisor for Region Operations and been told that 100Mbps GPON is available at my new residence.
Does anyone on here have any experience with this service?
Anyone know the DL/UL for it?
What are the install costs?
If this is true I plan to use my pfSense firewall to handle all routing without using any equipment from CL; doesn't seem to be that bad and my firewall supports vLANs.
