So there's a DSL stop-sell in a rural Qwest footprint. I know the area's being upgraded because I've seen the trucks and heard things through the grapevine. Several months ago, I was able to get a hold of the CenturyLink regulatory contact for the area and I was told upgrades were coming, but not in 2016. Today a CSR said to call back in April. There's also cable in the area, but they want $1000 for a line extension. I'm not opposed to the $1000, but I hate spending the money if cheaper broadband is a few months away. I'm mixed on whether the info the CSR gave me is accurate. Any opinions?
