I'm a low-income disabled senior and rely on hand-me-down electronics.
A year ago I signed up with CenturyLink for a low-income discount on a their slowest speed DSL internet connection with a Zyxel PK5000Z modem. The modem rental was free for the first year.
Starting this month they're billing me five bucks and change for the modem.
A BBS friend has offered me his Westel model 890-210015-04 Rev E DSL Modem.
Does that give you enough information to determine if that modem would work with my current service? I'd like to return the Zyxel modem to CenturyLink to avoid the monthly rental charge.
