I'm moving into a new home (new to me, it's about 10yo now) with both cable and DSL, and was amazed to find out CenturyLink is pushing 80Mbps down and 40Mbps up, better then the cable co! I'm assuming a variety of tech is at play here (FTTN, VDSL, etc). My two questions are:
1) How close to you have to be to the DSLAM to get 80/40?
2) How reliable is the speed on CenturyLink?
I haven't used DSL in forever (10 years or more since switching to cable) and I just wanna make sure these speeds are possible with new tech.
