This problem is quite maddening. I can't seem to download anything from Apple over my DSL connection - speeds are just crazy slow (i.e. can't even get a simple iphone app to download). This is happening across four different devices (MacBook Pro, iMac, and 2 iPhones). I am having issues with all of the following:
-Patch downloads
-OS downloads (i.e. Yosemite)
-Music downloads and streaming
The problem is isolated to Apple only. For example I can download things from Adobe fine, I can stream from Netflix or MLB.TV just fine, Youtube is fine, etc. I just can't do anything with Apple.
Things I've tried:
1) Connect via cellular instead of through DSL. Everything works fine if I'm on cellular/LTE via phone directly or hotspot.
2) Removed my personal router and connect only through the Zyxel 1000 (did a factory reset of the Zyxel first). Problem persists and nothing is fixed.
Based on this is seems like it almost certainly has to be something on Century Link's end? Everything works fine over LTE. The problem is only with Apple content and nothing else. I removed my router and reset the Zyxel so I am 100% there is no QOS policies.
Any thoughts? It doesn't seem like they'd throttle my connection to Apple would they?
