CenturyLink DSL buffer bloating - wild latency

I always had my PING time being unpredictable - it was getting very bad sometimes, but other times, it was ok. But recently I read about phenomen called "Bufferbloat", and found, that this was exactly the reason for it! Basically, bufferbloat is increase in latency, when your connection is under the load. Google it for more details. And CenturyLink seems to have problem with that. But only for Upstream. Sometimes, it getting really bad - Ping can get up to ~1000 ms. Theoretically, bufferbloating can happen at two places: - user's router - ISP network equipment So, CenturyLink user! Let's gather some statistic. Please run Speed Test and tell us: - what's your Bloat Grade is? - what's your modem/router? - what's your official speed (the speed for which you are paying, not the speed, which you are measuring) And hopefully, later we can see, if the bufferbloat is dependent on any of the variables. So, here is my report: http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest/1066185 - GRADE: C - MODEM: Technicolor C2000T - SPEED: 20/2
