I bought 10 Mb service almost 2 1/2 years ago in Sept 2011 I contacted tech support about speed issues. It was discovered that the remote or DSLAM has a IMA uplink. And my speed would limited to 5mb which I was happy with compared to 1.5. At that time made an email agreement that my speed settings would be unchanged and set at 5mb until the DSLAM could be upgraded. Than this past Friday 4/19/ 2013 the modem would only connect at a strange speed of 1533/130 I called support and a local technician came out. Since then I have not had a problem back up to 5mb down. Until today 4/23/2013 the local technician called and informed me my speed will be dropped to 1.5/256. The DSLAM is capped at 1.5M So why after almost two years. Of running a steady speed of 5mb I am to be dropped down to a lower speed I am paying for a 10 Mb service. I thought there was an agreement to keep the speed where it was until the remote could be upgraded.
So now what should I do?
Calling support I get a lot of runaround and customer service is no help.
In the past I could call the techs in Onalaska, WI or my account rep when I had a business account and they would tell you what is going on with their network and when the problem or equipment would be upgraded or fixed.
Now to add insult to injury ping rate and speed have gone to a crawl
