I am a new centurylink customer. We had no problems getting our phone connected, but have had a nightmare with our internet. I faxed in the completed supercedure forms twice in early June thinking that was that. We had to do that because service in our area is exhausted and the people who owned the house before us agreed to transfer their service to us.
Well, those two faxes were lost. As were the next two. The fifth may have been found...I'm not sure.
After at least seven telephone calls, about ten hours on hold, losing over $1,000 in work, and being outright lied to over and over and over again, I was told that "I've worked a miracle for you" and that service had been established on the morning of July 2nd. After three hours on the phone on the afternoon of July 2nd, we found out that wasn't true. We received a call on the morning of July 3rd that the internet service was on. Found out on the afternoon of July the 3rd that it wasn't. I was told that a technician would come out on July 4th to check on it. I confirmed with the guy who was "helping" me that techs worked on July 4th and was told that they do. Replanned my day to be home and low and behold; techs don't work on July the 4th. I stand to lose another $500-$1000 in work this weekend because of this holdup.
Centurylink has performed embarrassingly poorly thusfar. I really can't imaging how a company that is this inefficient manages to stay afloat.
