CL down throttling Netflix and other video services????
I have CL 40/5. I live in Scottsdale, Arizona (85260). About 4 weeks ago we have been having issues with video streaming, especially Netflix timing out few times a day and buffering issues all the time. When we fast forward or backward video, it takes forever to buffer and play video (30 to 60 secs). I called CL few times and few technicians have visited my house, they all tell me the same story -- that it is fine based on their tests. I also thought the issue may be with router and replacing didn't resolve the issue. I have come to the point to switch to Cox Ultimate. When I connect my computer to my Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot card, the Netflix does not timeout and the buffering is very fast (2-3 seconds to buffer and play). Is CL down throttling Netflix and other services? We did not have this issue before for the last three years. DSL modem is few months old Actiontec C1000A (Firmware Version: CAC001-31.30L.8, Hardware Revision: 1A).
