Good afternoon all;
I just had CenturyLink DSL installed, it is "up to" 140/20Mbps service which is being delivered on bonded VDSL2, and I seem to be getting every bit of that so no complaints.
I have a Sophos XG firewall that I use, so I put the CenturyLink modem (a C3000z) into transparent bridging mode and plugged it into my firewall's WAN port. The IPv4 connection came up fine; the firewall pulled a IPv4 public IP address and I can surf and do everything just fine. Before switching I noted the modem was using IPoE rather than PPPoE, if that matters.
What I can't do is get it to pull an IPv6 address. I noticed even before I switched to bridging mode that it did not/would not pull an IPv6 address either.
Is IPv6 not available on CenturyLink VDSL in the legacy Embarq areas of central Florida? Thanks in advance.
