Could someone from CenturyLink or maybe someone in the know please explain why the CenturyLink website keeps offering lower and lower tiers, instead of raising the tier plans like the rest of the ISP's do? In 2012 we were offered 40/5 service and so we signed up for that and actually got 50/7 during speed tests. But over the years both the speeds and tiers have gotten lower and lower and lower. We are now going on our 6th year of High Speed internet with CL, but the packages they offer keep getting lower and lower and I see no new upgrades in sight.
Why is CenturyLink go backwards when all my friends keep getting faster and faster internet packages over the years? I now have friends with 350 Mbps services who actually see 370 Mbps speed tests, while my service keeps getting worse and worse. And we all started off at the same speeds... Is CenturyLink really this lame of a company? I expected 80/10 service by now. What gives?
What irks me most is that if I go to CenturyLink.com and put in my address to find these fancy new upgrades we should be getting by now, I am instead offered a maximum Tier upgrade of 12 Mbps. How is 12 Mbps a upgrade over my current 40/5? This makes ZERO sense to me.
Any explanation please?
