CenturyLink and DNS

Many CL customers, myself included, have tried alternate DNS providers (such as 1.1.1.1) but had some problems with them. I recently had occasion to review the CL terms of service and found the following items relevant to DNS: "We block malicious sites and phishing sites to prevent fraud against our customers and to prevent our customers from getting infected via DNS (Domain Name Service) blackholing and Internet Protocol (IP) address blackholing." .... "Further, CenturyLink does not scan or otherwise monitor customers' content." They provide a fair amount of detail about their IP security practices at https://www.centurylink.com/aboutus/legal/internet-service-disclosure/full-version.html Assuming the above information is accurate, it doesn't appear to me that there would be a compelling privacy or security reason to switch DNS providers. CL's DNS is consistently the fastest for me when I test with the GRC benchmark tool, so I will probably stick with it and leave well enough alone :)
