Unacceptable Repair Scheduling for CenturylInk in Bassett, VA

Called CenturyLink technical concerning one of two ports on my 15 mb service not connecting resulting in 1/2 speed. The tech was unable to correct the issue remotely and scheduled me for a repair technician for 6/16/18. The tech never showed up and I still have the issue. I called later that evening (June 16) and inquired as to what was going on. The customer service person could not explain to me what happened and could only reschedule the repair for July 5th. I told her that was unacceptable. She told me that the repair tech stopped work at 5 pm and that she would call them on Monday to see if the repair could be expedited. She then told me that she didn't come into work until 7pm. I asked her how she would contact them when they would not be available after 5 pm and she replied that she would work something out. Well here it is Monday and I called and finally got a Supervisor who could only move it back to June 29 8:00am. That was the best that she could do, 24 days after my initial repair request. CenturyLink has me against the wall because that are the only game in town available to me here in rural VA. Still paying full price for 1/2 the service and unacceptable customer service. Looking for other options, possible Verizon with some sort of booster.
