I recently had a DSLAM installed about 3000 feet from my house. I went to upgrade internet and the local rep was told I was greater than 4000 feet away so I could only get bonded 25/2 service. My local tech stated that is incorrect and I should easily be able to get 40 mb service on a single line. I had a tech out here today to install the new bonded 25/2 service and after it was finished, I looked at my line stats. It appears to me I should easily be able to get faster service but wanted others opinions. The tech that installed my service this morning said he would try to let his the engineers know and his boss but wasn't confident anything would change. Any advice on who I can contact to get better service if they are wrong about my distance?
