I finally ditched DSL from CentruryLink (aka Qwest) after 8+ years of stand-alone DSL from them. They're not intending to upgrade anything in the foreseeable future in Minneapolis and the best I could get was their 20 Mbps/896k tier. The upload speed was starting to get to be an issue for me, as I remote desktop often.
So, I switched to another provider...
My question here is can I use the Actiontec Q1000 as a simple gigabit router and wif repeater behind my new gateway?
What settings do I need to change?
Is there a better firmware, such as DD-WRT, that I can install on it?
OR: Should I just sell it and get something better?
