First thing's first: What is Centurylink doing asking for account information over a non-secure connection??? Have I been scammed? The person I was talking with had no record of my account on the bill I was mailed (which was different than the one I remember having before). Honestly the cluster**** that is centurylink just blows my mind. I'm a centurylink customer somtimes and a qwest customer othertimes it's like someone who knows less than I do about networking (which isn't a whole heck of a lot) designed the entire infrastructure on a napkin one day and decided to go with it. Anyway:

Anyway: I've been lurking a bit but no one seems to quite have my problem...Everything was working just fine until I got an upgrade last week or so.
First off my gear:
Modem: Technicolor C2000T (bonded DSL 80mbps)
Router: Linksys WRT 3200ACM
DHCP/DNS: Pihole running on Ubuntu 16.04
My Centurylink Technicolor C2000T modem/router/switch combo which I DO NOT want functioning as anything other than my connection to the outside world (ie a modem) will not bridge with my router. I have tried literally everything imaginable to get this working but to no avail.
There are a few things that just don't seem to get answered as I was doing my research. On the Modem/Router/Switch combo units (like the C2000T) there is no mention what ports should be connected FROM THE MODEM to the router. To the router is easy the wan port (Internet in Linksys' case) but I don't know if I should be physically connecting the ethernet cable from the WAN/LAN port to the router or one of the 4 yellow switch ports to the router.
In the router should I be passing PPPoE credentials since the modem is self authenticating? If so what mode should I be using? By default this is Automatic configuration - DHCP.
Under the Modem I'm getting some bizarre options that don't seem to match up with anything the centurylink tech had seen. I cannot for the life of me figure out what bridged mode I should be connecting with (tagged or untagged). I do have a dumb switch on the network but I have intentionally not been using it until I can get a solid bridging. but what are the numbers at the end of my briding options and why is there no mention of that anywhere else online?

Jesus that was a mess.
