For many years I used Google's DNS but gave Quad9 (9.9.9.9) a go. In my Minneapolis neighborhood Quad9 seemed slow, so I ran Steve Gibson's DNS benchmark utility. After running this benchmark, Quad9 was listed as the second slowest of the lot with CenturyLink's Legacy DNS being the fastest.
Is there any reason not to use CenturyLink over slower DNS servers? Thanks for any insight.
