I use an old DSL modem; the instruction manual refers to Windows 95 if that gives you any idea. Regardless it works well and cost me very little.
It's a modem only, no router, set up in bridging mode. Would this support IPv6? As I understand, a DSL modem in bridging mode is simply a 'converter' between the DSL line and Ethernet, therefore, it seems that it simply passes Ethernet frames and could care less what protocol is carried within them.
In this situation, IPv6 responsibility is on my router, not modem, correct?
