Wondering if anyone can help here - since CenturyLink hasn't been able to clarify this.
A week ago I placed an order to upgrade to 40/5 DSL here from my previous VDSL2 20M/896k line.
I was told repeatedly that the service would be 40/5 Bonded.
Install happened, and, the modem says 40/2, 20 / 1.018 per pair; VDSL2 8A. Confirmation letter says "40Mbps/2Mbps".
The loop length here is right about 1000 ft, the DSLAM is rather close; and I can't help but wonder as to why it ended up being 40/2 instead of 40/5?
Finally upgrading off of that horrendous 896k upstream was one of my main reasons for upgrading. I guess it ~is~ faster still, but was really hoping for the 40/5 they initially promised...
Is there anything I can do about this? Should I be thankful I got a bonded 40 service, since this seems to be (or at least was at one point), rare?
