[Embarq] Bridge Mode Problem Since Storm

I bought a new house and had CenturyLink DSL installed just a little over 2 months ago. I have no other choice for internet here. I got the 10Mbps speed, which is the highest they offer in my area. One of the first things I did after the tech left from the install was to put the PK5001Z into bridge mode because I have my own router. It's been rock-solid from day one, and speed tests always showed right at 10Mbps. Yesterday late afternoon/early evening we had a really bad storm and the internet went out. I had a red DSL light on the modem. It was still out this morning, so I contacted support. They said there was an outage in my area, they were working on it, but they had no ETA as to when it would be fixed. A little while ago I noticed that the DSL light was green again, but the internet light was flashing red/green. I did a couple power cycles (about an hour apart), but it still came back up to the internet light flashing red/green (all other lights green). Just for the heck of it I tried a factory reset on the modem, and after I did that everything was green and internet was working. GREAT! So...I put it back into bridge mode and I got the red/green blinking internet light again (all other lights green) and no internet. I've tried several times now going back and forth. Every time I do the factory reset everything works fine. As soon as I put it back into bridge mode I have no internet. It's been rock-solid and I've had no problems at all with it in bridge mode for a little over two months, now bridge mode gives me no internet. Anyone have any clues as to why it's not working now? I'd much prefer it to be in bridge mode like it has been.
