I signed up for 25mb service the other day. (I just switched from Suddenlink which I cant stand!), anyways I am on the edge of being able to get anything faster and the tech said if this speed doesnt work out, Ill need to go down to 20mb. So far so good, no ping spikes, getting 24.50 down and 1.5-1.6 up. Couple questions.
1. If I go to the 20mb package how much will it improve my downstream SNR in db.
2. As my modem sits now for the speed package I am on, is my downstream power level to high? Im very familiar with DOCSIS 3.0 levels but am new to ADSL2+ bonded
3. I get some CRC errors usually 70-400 for the day.
I appreciate anyone's advice. I hate suddenlink so much its terrible in my area and I would like to keep CL, PINGS for gaming are way better than SL. And believe me, I took a loss on speed because I had 108mb with SL.
