I switched out my C2100T and for an ASUS RT-87U. So far it's working perfectly for both TV and internet. Speeds are near Gig where previously with the C2100T they fluctuated all over the place. I wanted to make sure I am squeezing every single ounce out of the connection both wireless and wired and was wondering what settings others are using.
Hardwired I am getting upwards up 950M+ but wireless I am seeing about 150-200M on the 5G network with my AC devices.
This is being tested with a new Google Pixel, 2016 Macbook Pro, iPad Pro, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, 2 x 2016 Dell XPS laptops and some Plex servers I have setup in the home.
I figure there should be some value I should enable/disable but just am not entirely sure which one.
For the record, QOS and all of the filtering is disabled. AI Protection is disabled. Parental control is disabled. Firewall is for ipv4 and ipv6 is enabled.
What settings is everyone else using for their ASUS router?
