I have separate Centurylink internet accounts (no phone) at a home in Colorado and a home in Arizona.
I carry a Q1000 modem between the homes. The Arizona account is always kept active and the Colorado account is always left on vacation.
When I get back to Colorado, from Arizona, I just plug in the Q1000 and its up and running in a minute or two. I'm using the Arizona account but accessing it through the Centurylink connection to the Colorado house. It works well and is very easy.
I would like to get faster service in Arizona (20Mbps) but the Centurylink rep says this will require a bonded service and requires a different modem. She mentioned the Q2000, V2000H, and C1900A as ones which might be provided by Centurylink.
Does anyone know if going to a bonded service in Arizona and getting the different modem (such as the Q2000) will mess up the "plug'n'play" situation I have in Colorado. I'd like to keep the present situation where I leave CO on vacation and just move the modem back and forth.
