Hi! I'm trying to set up a network correctly with Centurylink tech + my own router. So what I have: CenturyLink C1100Z Modem+Router combo TP-LINK WR841N Router What I want to do: Use the C1100Z as a modem, and all my networking on the TP-LINK Router. So, questions: 1). I need to place the C1100Z in transparent bridge mode to make it a "dumb modem", correct? Are there any other settings I should change before setting it into transparent bridge mode? (The 13/7 thing? or no?) 2). How do I connect them? Both models have 4 yellow ethernet ports, and 1 blue WAN/LAN port. Do I connect the blue WAN/LAN ports together? Or do I use a yellow ethernet port on the C1100Z Combo, and connect that to the blue WAN/LAN port on the TP-LINK Router (or visa versa)? 3). I play a lot of online games, so things like NAT/etc can be a hassle. How can I avoid things like double NAT or firewalls? 4). Are there any specific settings I should change on the TP-LINK? (DHCP,etc?) Thanks!
