I've had CenturyLink for almost 3 years now, and I've always paid my bill with my debit card on the CenturyLink web site. I just paid my latest bill, and wasn't really paying attention while going through the process (because it seemed like the same old thing I normally go through) - until I got to the very end where the bill was paid and I noticed they had charged me more than the bill. When I looked closer I noticed they had added a $3.50 "convenience fee" that I've never been charged before.
Why a "convenience fee" now when there's never been one before? It's just stupid if you ask me - and if that's how it's going to be going forward, I'll just mail them a check (which I haven't done for ANY bill in YEARS) since a stamp is cheaper.
