Is there a way to get IPv6 (WAN) working with a Trendnet AC750 (TEW-816DRM) on Centurylink? (VDSL 20/5 in former Qwest area).
Previously, I've been using the Actiontech Q1000 that Centurylink supplied free when the line was upgraded a couple of years ago (to VDSL from 1.5 ADSL). That's been working fine, including for IPv6 (with global IPv6 WAN address), but it's now slowly dying - every few hours it needs to be powered down for half an hour to reset (probably heat build up).
So, this Trendnet AC750 to replace it seems to work good enough, more stable so far, similar speeds (both are more like 15/2 than 20/5, but consistent). But, despite choosing "both" for the IPv4/IPv6 setting on the modem, rebooting etc, it doesn't get an IPv6 address. I'm guessing that maybe the type of IPv6 setting that worked on the Q1000 isn't available on this modem, but is there a setting I'm missing that would enable it?
Not having IPv6 isn't the end of the world, a stable connection is more important. By the time I can't live without IPv6 this modem will be obsolete anyway. But if there's an option to enable it on the AC750 (in a way compatible with Centurylink), so I get back to the same features as the Q1000, that would be great!
