I have a C2000T that I've had in bridge mode with my own router for well over a year with absolutely no problems at all. I decided to upgrade a few things on my network (my router and my NAS box), and started working on it tonight. Powered off everything, connected new router and NAS, powered things back up, and no internet. Put my old router back in place, and it's no longer working either. Connect a computer directly to the C2000T, setup a static IP, logged into the C2000T, and it showed internet and everything as OK. Power cycled everything one more time, still no internet.
There was one time a while back where things weren't working after a power outage and I had to do a reset to defaults on the modem, and then when I put it back in bridge mode everything was fine. So, I did a reset to defaults on the C2000T and everything was working again and could get out on the internet. Put it in bridge mode, and nothing worked again. Reset to defaults a second time, and that time the internet went into a "Walled Garden" mode and I had to go through the setup pages like I was a new customer to get things working. Put it back in bridge mode, and no internet again. Did the reset to defaults again (no walled garden this time) so I could have internet and post this.
Anyone have any clues as to why I can't get any internet on my router (old or new router) while in bridge mode since that first power cycle? I'm at a loss. I've never had any problems putting it in bridge mode before. I'm not in a PPPoE area, so that's not the problem.
