I am living in an apartment complex temporarily in Adams county CO and have naked 40/20 service. The modem connects at 40M down, but only 6.9M up. There are 3 outlets, and changing outlets sometimes gets me to 8meg up, but never higher.
After speaking with CL tech support (who claims to have reset me at the DSLAM, although I never saw the link go down as she said I was supposed to), my options were to deal with it, or have a tech come out...but risking an $85 charge if the trouble was on my end.
I don't have a way to connect at the demarc, so I can't tell if it's my wiring, and I'm only living here for a few more months so I definitely don't want to be charged for any repairs here.
If there were wiring issues, wouldn't it be impacting downstream too? Any other suggestions?
