I'm using a PK5001Z connected to a TP Link WR841N running DDWRT. I bridge the PK5001Z and use the TP Link as my router.
Bridging works like a champ UNTIL my WAN IP address times out or the PK5001Z loses power. For some reason, my DDWRT device isn't getting a new WAN IP address when one of those two instances occur. I've tried clicking the DHCP Release/Renew buttons inside of DDWRT, but that never works (reports 0.0.0.0 as IP address).
The only way I'm able to get it working is to log into the PK5001Z, swap the WAN mode back to DHCP, allow the PK5001Z to get a WAN IP address, then swap it back to bridging mode. Once I do this, the DDWRT device is able to pick up a new IP address.
Is this a problem with DDWRT or the PK5001Z?
